Hi there, I’m Julie. I’m a photographer based in Quesnel, BC, Canada, who specialises in maternity and newborn photography, classic wedding photos, and timeless family photoshoots. My art is driven by a passion for capturing authentic moments of honest emotion — those loving glances and joyful smiles that a staged pose just can’t recreate.
Photos have always been a part of my life. I’ve had a camera with me for as long as I can remember, and there’s little I love more than looking through old albums with a cup of coffee. These old albums, with all the joyful memories they hold, are my most treasured items — the only physical thing I would care about if my house was on fire. The emotional power of photography and its magical ability to transport you through time to your most meaningful moments is what drew me to a career in photography. Now I can use my camera to help create that magic for others, and it’s been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life!
As a mother of three, I know just how precious time with your family can be, and my priority is preserving all those special in-between moments. My work as a Quesnel wedding and family photographer is focused on creating a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere where everyone can be themselves, so that we can preserve those natural emotions with no frills and no artifice — just perfect memories, captured forever.
I love hearing the unique stories of each family I work with, and I strive to capture your true essence through honest, authentic Quesnel family photography. It’s so important to photograph your family’s journey: your children will be able to look back across the years and see what you looked like with them in your belly, what they looked like when they could fit in your arms, and how beautiful you looked when they made you laugh.
